Multipoint temperature profiling

Multipoint temperature sensors are used to monitor optimum heat distribution, preventing hotspots and premature catalyst deactivation under high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosive conditions. What about invasiveness of the probe? More catalyst = more throughput. How to increase that?
